Mission & Vision

Our Mission:

To increase productivity in agriculture and non-agriculture sector through local infrastructure development and management, to create employment, to improve socio-economic conditions, to improve the management system of local government institutions and to act as a catalyst for poverty alleviation at local level.


 

Our Vision:

As a government agency, LGED will play a role in professionalism, efficiency and effective implementation of the following interrelated and supportive activities:

1) It will work for the development, maintenance and management of transport, trade and small water resources by ensuring the participation of people and local government organizations considering social and environmental issues.

2) Capacity building of local government institutions through technical and institutional support and will provide services to local people and stakeholders.
